Would you be tempted to read a chapter called ‘Magic, Meditation and the Void: Creative Dimensions of Lucid Dreaming’? This is the chapter I wrote for the brand new and very smart two-volume edition, Lucid Dreaming: New Perspectives on Consciousness in Sleep.
It was lovely to get my contributor’s copies; these books are packed with cutting-edge insights and research into lucid dreaming and I can’t wait to read all the other chapters from the total of 30 contributors. So far the only one that I’ve read is Robert Waggoner’s at first draft stage, as he asked me for feedback on it. I’m longing to read Fariba Bogzaran’s chapter on creative consciousness and Ken Kelzer’s chapter on the mystical potential of lucid dreaming, not to mention the chapter on lucid dreaming in film and cinema by Kelly Bulkeley and Bernard Welt. Then there’s Brigitte Holzinger on lucid dreaming in psychotherapy, and Ryan Hurd on the Paleolithic mind… in fact, every chapter looks amazing.
Those who are feeling intrigued can buy the books here.
I’m taking the whole thing on holiday with me to the Black Forest tomorrow. We’ll have no internet, so I can curl up on a deck chair with these two wise books and relax into lucid dreaming while awake 😉
What stunningly produced books! I really hope they are issued in paperback before too long, so that they can reach a wide audience.
Thanks, yes I hope they’ll become more accessible price-wise!
